What’s On at the Arundell

Autumn at The Arundell

This summer has seen the relaxing of domestic covid travel restrictions and the consequent opening up of the hospitality sector, and on the 17th May 2021, we officially opened the hotel, “hallelujah”. Since opening we have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from fishers, holiday makers, foodies, day trippers and also the local community in and around Lifton. Everyone has enjoyed getting out and participating in all those things we all love to do but have been starved of for the best part of a year. Whether it be fly-fishing, walking, cycling, sightseeing, or simply indulging in the scrumptious food and wine that is offered through the hotel, it was so great to see the place come to life. For your support and custom we want to thank you. We also want to thank our dedicated staff at the Arundell, who despite many of the industry wide issues have been absolutely brilliant, everyone working hard to provide the happy and friendly service the hotel has come to be known for.

As we head into Autumn we can look forwards to the prospects of a late run salmon up to the close of the season on the 14th of October ; walks along the magical Tamar and Lyd valleys, or across the moors; the returning to the hotels crackling fires;  savouring our autumn & winter menus including our hearty Sunday roast accompanied by a glass of one of our delicious wines; or simply enjoying an afternoon tea in the kingfisher room which has been designated a “tea room”.   We also look forwards to the shooting season and this year have well over 30 teams of guns joining us at the Hotel and in the field, many taking advantage of our “field to fork” experience, which is something of a speciality at The Arundell.

On behalf of the entire team we welcome you to this magical place that is Devon and the Arundell Hotel, and look forwards to hosting you and your families and friends, and until then do take care.
