Philosophy
The Arundell continues to be a favourite destination for shooting parties. For both game shooting and stalking our approach is that the camaraderie, hospitality and cuisine are as important an element to your day as the sport itself.
All our shooting is either arranged by the hotel or is in collaboration with well-established local shoots. These hand selected estates all share our philosophy, and focus on safety, quality and presenting sporting birds to the guns.
Driven Pheasant and
Partridge
Devon has access to some of the best shooting in the UK. We can provide access to classic driven game shoots on a number of nearby estates for teams of up to 9 guns.
Bookings should be made directly with Simon or Alex well in advance of the season. Days are limited as all of our partner shoots are well established and shooting across Devon and Cornwall is popular. These days are especially suited to guns who seek well presented and sporting birds. Therefore days of 150-200 birds are preferred.

Driven Woodcock and
Snipe
The Arundell is well known for its Woodcock and snipe shooting which is organised directly through the hotel. As all the birds are wild and migratory, the no of days offered for these events is strictly limited so as not to stress the quarry and ensure we are enjoying our sport in sympathy with this wonderful natural resource.
Bookings should be made directly with Simon or Alex ,well in advance of the season as days are limited and this offering generally fills quickly. Priority is given to guns who have shot with the hotel previously.

£210/gun per day, including a field lunch. Max 9 guns.
Duck Flighting
Duck flighting can be arranged directly through the hotel. This is ideally taken in the evenings as an accompanying activity after a day’s woodcock or snipe shooting.

To add an evening’s duck flighting will be an additional £150 for the whole shooting party.
Stalking
Stalking for red and roe deer can be arranged directly through the hotel where our guides have access to over 35,000 acres of stalking territory including the moors.

Shoot Dinners
Packages can be arranged for shooting guests and shoot parties on a personalised basis and tailored to specific catering requirements.
The Arundell is renown for hosting formal shoot dinners with a shooters dinner designed by our master chef.
